Ok so I did the video, then it died out. I get so friggin busy!
Now I’m about the start a game called Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures. It’s a massive online game with 1000’s of people. I made a web site for our guild and did all of it pretty much, no all of it myself. I did PhP Nuke for the content management system and skinned it piece by piece. I did some serious php programming on the application form remaking a sheet from WoW and redesigning it for use on Conan. I was pretty impressed with myself I must say. I’m really happy with the site as well. It can be seen right here
Work is also crazy and I’ve been working on a work web site as well, it goes live on Thursday evening. You can see that right here! as well.
I’ve got my wifes site to do next (Needles and Wool) as well as Jerichards, JBL Electric, Phalcon Ltd, and Native Sons Ltd. Whew! I’ll be a master web page dude after this! I’ll get started on all that right after I come back from Florida! YES! I’m hitting Florida for vacation! I need it bad, it should be fun. Catch you later!

Ok so here it is! I know you’ve been waiting for it! heh just kidding I know it’s just me. But that’s ok. I did this quickly at work this morning just to get me feet wet. It’s really nothing. I just wanted to see how to publish the video and how to get it on the page. Flash Video even!
I used a plugin for Wordpress called Wordtube which you can get here. I created a folder under wp_content called uploads, fixed the permissions, and followed the instructions on wordtube and voila it worked like a champ. By far the easiest setup to get flash embedded on the site I tried.
Here it is:
Ok so I won’t win an Oscar with it but hey it’s a start! I want to work on new opening and closing music that isn’t canned, a new opening and closing credit, and then content. Baby steps ya know?? Ok so I’ll try and get another one up as quickly as I can.

Ok so I managed to buy a copy of Visual Communicator 3 which is almost exactly like Vlogit! Who knew…
Also I did some studying and watched some tutorials on using said VS3. I will check it out this week-end and see if I can make a preliminary video. Yes I will post it here. Don’t expect much though as I am soooo new and really have nothing at all interesting to say. I do look forward to the process though.
Wish me luck!

Ok so I haven’t been around. I know…
I’ve been thinking about starting the whole Vlog thing again. I have all the equipment, A new kicking computer, really nothing to write about, so why not join the rest of the world on the cutting edge where I do so love to be.
I installed VlogIt! on the new machine. I need to learn that process 1st. I’m sure that’ll take a couple weeks to get that even close to working but I’ll keep you aprised of the progress.
Wish me luck!

Yeah ok so I’m old. Get over it, I know I am…I mean that the last post is old. I haven’t really done anything with the web page recently. What else is new…
I’m hosting another site today. www.virtuallyutopia.com and she’s off to a good start.
My wife is now not working…Good for her.
I don’t feel like being at work…What else is new. Actually most of the time I’m fine with being at work. When I’m at home for any period of time I get bored quickly. I assume because I have no hobby. I was going to do the video blog thing but I really again have no hobby to talk about or anything interesting to say or do. So what do you blog about when there’s nothing to blog about? Huh?
Congrats to the Giants for beating the Patriots in the superbowl. Good for them…

Ok so I made the 1st video. It happens it’s for my wife over at needlesandwool.com . She’s making a tutorial. I thought this might be a good opportunity to make a video, light it, plan it, direct it, and edit and add music etc. Which I did but she made a mistake in speaking portion and she wants to make another one. So we shall this week. I’ll post the picture of the setup I used (This time I’ll actually take a picture). I’ll also re-edit, and re-add music. Spiderman 3 this ain’t. But it’s a start.
I should have the new video ready by this week-end. Wish me luck!

I’ve been trying to think of a subject for my first film and lo and behold the Sci-Fi Channel is doing a make your own video thing for Battlestar Galactica. They give you some media clips, music, and sound effects to use. I’ve started playing with them and started writing a script for the 4 minute scene. I got 1 minute 45 seconds so far. I’m going with a comedy scene. Not that they would ever use it because the show is not a comedy but it will be fun none the less. Hows everyone else doing with the equipment? You all ready to go?
On another note I’m waiting for a new MMog to come out called Burning Seas. I’m looking forward to a new MMO. Should be fun.

Well I got a camera, I went with a Canon ZR580. I did a ton of research on cameras and with the price range I had went with the best for the money. I bought it at Circuit City and there was a promo on the camera. A free camera bag, and tri-pod. The store price was more than the flyer price and I brought this up and saved myself $30. I also got my green screen yesterday and set up poles.
I did some research on vlogging also. There’s not a ton of them out there that are interesting. I hope mine will be. I thought of an idea yesterday that I might be able to do. This is going to take some time though as it’s all new to me and between the software and web page stuff not to mention actually making a video.
I will lay out all the steps though I as I go through it. For prosperity of course.
I did some updates to the page as well. I updated the about me section, the hosting and hosted section, and the client section. I will be doing minor updates daily at this point. Hey if you need hosting, I’m your huckleberry.
Oh and that Rocketboom Vlog site I mentioned in my earlier post? I guess it’s the defacto standard in Vlogs. They’re looking to cash in I guess. Not a bad thing and it is professionally done and humerous. Works for me.
Also I may have made an error on it being run by a woman. I’m honestly not sure anymore. I made the assumption it was because the 4 or 5 clips I saw were the same woman with the same backgrounds etc. I apologize for the mis-information.
Peace Out….

Well I’m about to embark on a journey of Vlogging (Video Blogging for those that don’t know). I have no idea what I will vlog about but I’m putting together a plethera of items to do just that.
I bought a chroma key green screen, I bought Serious Magic’s Vlog It’ (Now owned by Adobe), and will go out and buy some clip lights (Yes I’m cheap) and have found that my web cam no longer works so I will go out and buy a new camera or two as well. One web cam and one digital cam.
I have a lot to learn and my first project is to look at other vlogs. I will post my progress as I go along and if anyone wants to join me we can do it together, or not.
So phase I is to get the materials together, and research other vlogs out there.
I’ve seen so far about 10 vlogs and only one appealed to me. It was funny, and well narrated. I think I want mine to be funny as well. There’s way to much seriousness in the world. The site was called Rocketboom Good site and from what I’m finding a rarity in the vlogging world as a woman runs it. I believe only 8% of the vlogs out there are run by women.
Phase I
